Body butters are generally intended for use on the body -- this generally means from neck down, excluding hands since it could feel greasy on hands, unless it's being used overnight with manicure gloves.
Some people experiencing *extreme* dryness from certain medications and/or living in very dry climates say they enjoy using either unscented body butter or nut-free unscented body butter as a facial moisturizer but -- for the average person -- this product is too rich and may contribute to congestion. As such I don't typically recommend body butter be used on the face. However, if no other moisturizer and/or combination of moisturizer and serum are working, then one could try using an unscented body butter.
